Musicality Intensive Weekend with Alex Krebs, Nov. 17th-19th, 2017

Having been a lifelong musician and dancer, Alex brings a unique perspective into understanding and teaching musicality in tango.  Among other things, Alex has played the bandoneón for 15 years, has composed over 20 original tangos, recorded 6 albums, and has backed up legendary tango singers Alberto Podestá and Ariel Ardit.  He has also focused on/taught musicality in the dance for 17 years.

This weekend will focus on understanding tango rhythms better, being able to hear the structure and layers in the music, cover the history of the orchestras and the subtle similarities and differences between the orchestras, dynamics ans articulation, and also will learn different ways of interpreting the music through dance.
