Alex Krebs' Classes: *Two New 4-week Series* & *Special Follower's Workshop* with Alex Krebs starting March 16, 2010!! New BEGINNING/INTERMEDIATE Tango Series -"Introduction to close embrace!" This class is intended for those that have been dancing for at least 2 months. We will cover the technique of dancing close (and not getting stepped on!) as well as cover/review a basic vocabulary of steps that can be executed in a close embrace as well as a crowded dance floor. Time: 6:30-7:30pm, Tuesdays starting March 16th (4-weeks) Cost: $45/person/4 weeks Location: Tango Berretín, 6305 SE Foster Rd. *No pre-registration ot partner required.* New INTERMEDIATE Tango Series -"Walking Turns!" This class is intended for those that have been dancing for at least one year. We will cover technique and combinations of things that...walk and turn! (turning things that are not part of the giro family) Some of these turns also include multiple forward steps for the follower which makes for a nice contrast to always stepping backwards. These turns can be executed in a close or open embrace. Time: 7:45-8:45pm, Tuesdays starting Februray 16th (4-weeks) Cost: $45/person/4 weeks Location: Tango Berretín, 6305 SE Foster Rd. *No pre-registration ot partner required.* ***Special ALL LEVELS Follower's Workshop with Alex Krebs*** This class will give exercises to followers for walking, ochos, and the giro/molinete -- the fundamental movements of tango. We will go into great detail about the pieces of each movement and which technique to use depending on the style/embrace of your leader. Time: 7:30-9pm, Monday, March 22nd (one day only) Cost: $15, drop-in for one class. Location: Tango Berretín, 6305 SE Foster Rd. *No pre-registration ot partner required.* Guided practica. Tango Practica with Alex Krebs Alex hosts a guided practica, where students can come and receive individual attention as well as have time to incorporate things they are working on. Alex is available to help!
