"Beginning/Intermediate Tango 3" Series with Alex Krebs - 4-week series - Begins Tuesday, May 6, 2008 Musicality
This class is intended for those that have taken at least 4 series classes or have at least 4 months of tango dancing experience and have a familiarity with back ochos and basic turns. The class will focus on leader's and follower's technique and combinations in order to make the dance more musical and connected. We will learn about the different tango orchestras, their "feel," and ways we can go about interpreting their sounds with our bodies.
Time: 6:30-7:30pm, Tuesdays, for 4 weeks, starting May 6th

Guided practica. 4-week Tango Practica with Alex Krebs
Alex hosts a guided practica, where students can come and receive individual attention as well as have time to incorporate things they are working on.
Time: Wednesdays, noon-2pm

Men's Drop-in Tango Class/Practica
Originally men learned how to follow before they were allowed to lead. Also, it is said that the best leaders in this dance are also the best followers.
Continuing every Tuesday night from 7:45-9:15pm. Beg/Int and above men are all welcome. Every Tuesday we work on follower's technique for men and then cover one different topic every week (vocabulary, technique, musicality, etc.)
Time: 7:45-9:15pm, every Tuesday.

INTRODUCTION TO THE OCHO CORTADO (Beginner) -starts Wednesday, April 9, 2008 A Four-Week Series, 7:00-8:30, Wednesdays April 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th
The Ocho Cortado is a wonderfully versatile sequence of steps that can be a center-piece of close-embrace movement. We will put the ocho cortado together from all of the elements we have been exploring in Tango From the Ground Up. Students should have one or two beginners’ series under their belts before they take this class.

THE ONE-STEP CRUZADA (Intermediate-Advanced) --starting Wednesday, April 9, 2008 An INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED Four-Week Series on Wednesday Nights, 8:30-10:00 April 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th
We will continue with our year long exploration of the cross and all its exciting possibilities. How about a cross that is hugely dynamic and yet takes up almost no space, can be done in series, and can be done on the left as well as right side? That’s the “one-step cruzada.” Come refine your use of tosion as we work on this difficult and rewarding step. This class is intended for Experienced Intermediate and Advanced Dancers and/or those who have taken at least 3 classes on the Cruzada with Steven or another teacher.
